this is fin trying to kiss my mums kitten, flo. ahhhh. i was in uni yesterday and i fouind out i got a distinction for the second part of the teacher training course i did. yay! and i got a few more hours teaching at portsmouth, so at least there is a fair chance that the three of us, plus moggies et al will not starve! we are off to siansburys in the pouring rain this morning, and then to mummy group this afternoon... they are holding a food tasting session, so i can watch fin pull this "are you trying to kill me?" face he does when he first tried new things!

first party for fin

on saturday fin went to his 1st party, georges 1st birthday, there was cake and kids bigger than him, so def a life experience! anyway, we had lots of fun, and then yesterday we went for lunch at one of our interloped nct friends! it was ace, there was wine and balti, what more can i girl ask for........

phd

yes, i am actually doing some work. well, i have benn very busy working. today i have: pestered mp dennis macshane (rubbish- no help at all), written to the oxford coroners office, got archive stuff from the coventry evening telegraph, finished my notes from said rubbish mp book, filled in my contract for uni, begged for more hours from portsmouth, printed relevant articles on jstor and air force magazine, bitten my nails, and missed the boy horribly. i cant imagine how horrid it will be when i actually havce to go back to work proper! he is being babysat by his nana and grandad, so when i get back chances are he wont even have noticed i was gone!

see! it did indeed occure, and we must all be amazed at how fab the gown was, THANK YOU janet, who also got us some very fine chocs for xmas... anyway, this is the godparents posse, it includes alison, adam, mark and matt.

Good morning!

Today is a bit swish as fin and i have been invited to go to a coffee thing at another nct group! we are interlopers! i am now just hoping that he will not try and use one of his TWO teeth on any of the other babies! Also planning to go to the library and get him some new cardboard to chew. (think of all the germs *shudder*) So should be a fun day.

which is not what he looked like half an hour ago, when he first really made my hear feel all funny by choaking on some spag bog and going blue with purple eyes! i tried wacking him on the back and then i had to hook my finger into his mouth and get the bit of offending cow, which was obviously seeking revenge from beyond the slaughter house. god, it half scared me to death. anyway, after that he ate a yougert, slices of pear, 4 grapes and a bowl of caulliflower and brocolli cheese, so no real damage there!

finding a job

I have been trying to find a few hours teaching now for months, and i cant seem to get a job. i am starting to suspect it is because i keep writing about having a baby on the forms, and if this is the case then it SUCKS! I am no less qualified now, grrrrrr.

christmas

we had a lovely christmas, fin has been spolit rotton, and i got a diamond necklace, so for the first time in my life i am worth mugging! haha. david and fin were both fab, assisting in cooking and being well behaved respectively, and the whole holiday season was just magical. so, if you are someone who got us a pressie or made a fuss of us, thank you, it made our first christmas together amazing.
